Park Facing East During the Winter and the Sun Will Defrost Your Windshield
It’s winter for most in the United States, and if you’re driving you get the fun chore of defrosting your windshield each morning. That is, unless you follow the advice of one redditor who realized you can let the sun do the work for you:
Just noticed this one a few days ago when my windshield was completely clear and the guy on the other side of the street was scraping his car. Hopefully this will help keep you out of that bitter winter cold for a few extra minutes!
This is a pretty simple tip that may be obvious to some in cold winter climates, but I grew up in Minnesota and never knew. While you probably can’t park facing East 100% of the time, if you have the ability in the cold winter you should. It’ll save you some frustration and provide a little added comfort when you hop in your car each frozen morning.
